The Art Studio

Here is what our Art Studio looks like in the classroom. Some times we have a specific art activity or exploration that we involve the children in.

Other times, it's considered open studio, meaning the children decide what they want to create using an assortment of art materials.

We often use left-over recycled materials (like toilet paper and paper towel rolls). If you have some old string, paper rolls, buttons, cardboard, etc. Please let us know, I'm sure we'd like to have it for creating work at the art studio.

Thanks to Rafan's mother Ita for giving us a box of plastic lids (washed and cleaned) for us to use as well as small plastic jars for our water table.

The paint is available whenever students need to add it to their art work.

"It's a race car - see I made the fire coming out of it!" - B

We have a rule when using the glue. "Just a dot! Not a lot."

"I made a watch! It's a Superhero watch." - A.H.
