Math Fun

Every Day 5, instead of starting our day with independent reading as we usually do, we focus on using math materials for the first 45 minutes of the school day. The children have enjoyed counting, patterning, measuring, and exploring geometry and spatial sense. Children learn math through hands-on experiences such as these. Our math centre is open for exploration every day, and math is also embedded in all the learning we do, both inside and outside! Math is everywhere!
